My son is almost 3. His dad and I are not together and we are both married to separate people. My son has started to freak out at bath time. Every night. Like to the point that his face swells from crying so much. We have to hold him down to wash his hair and he won’t even sit in the bath tub. He used to love baths and it just now started about a week ago. His dads wife has just started to spend time with him a lot. They got married very fast and have only been together for about 8 months total. It’s really scaring me that she’s being mean to him. He also told me she’s mean, which I didn’t take too seriously because he tells me I’m mean if I get into him for doing something bad. I hardly know anything about her and she has me blocked from everything because we got into it about her calling herself his momma. He has a drs appointment Tuesday and I’m going to talk to his doctor about it and see if I can get a referral to a child therapist to pin point where the problem came from. Has anyone else experienced this with their children? Just the bath thing? I don’t know what to do, I’ve tried bath paints, bath bombs for kids, everything to make it fun, but he just won’t do it.
