38w3d bright red blood when wiping

So I scared myself pretty bad this afternoon.

..let’s back track a few days first

Thursday march 28th I had my cervix check with my OB, she said she got a finger in and felt baby’s head but I’m still thick so no need to assume it was coming so soon. But you never know..

So after that appointment I noticed

“Old blood” discharge. Not lots but enough to wear a panty liner to catch it and I could see when I wiped after peeing for a few days..

Today Sunday March 31st noticed I haven’t really had any brown discharge show up in a day or so, just normal clearing color on my panty liner.. no biggie.. felt good all day , spent it in bed lazin around with my doggies and watching movies. Been peeing plenty and see nothing.. go pee at just after 2pm - wipe- BRIGHT FKN RED ALL OVER THE TOILET PAPER! My heart stopped I started panicking ( all I could think of is my last miscarriage). I thought I was suppose to see it more mucus looking when my plug came out or whatever. Maybe I missed it.

I face time my mother right away freaking out. Needed her to calm me down enough to call for my husband. I FaceTimed him he ran upstairs and I was surprised he was so calm. Said everything’s okay he got the Doppler and checked baby we heard the heart beat but still wanted to go to the hospital so I could calm down.

He got his other 3 kids ready and over to his parents and away we went.

Was put on a stress test, bleeding stopped. When I had to undress I noticed only a few drops in my liner. They checked me internally and saw some fresh blood still coming from my cervix, so I must have lost my mucus plug. Then the nurse felt inside and I’m still the same as my dr had felt on Thursday.

3 hours total laying there before I was sent home. Was told any day is really fair game, come back to hospital if a gush of blood comes, water start leaking/ breaks or contractions are 5-1&1.

Glad to be home and soaking in the bath now. Feeling a little crampy. Hubby and I are feeling good we had this “practice” run to the hospital lol.

Hoping to see some action this week, due in the 11th but anytime between 2nd-10th would be perfect haha
