My period always skips a month or two. i don’t feel comfortable talking to my family about it or the doctor. my period has been irregular for 4 years now. will i not be able to have kids in the future? i heard that birth controls can help but i never used it before. I’m currently 15 and i’m not sure if its okay for me to try birth control pills.

I was very active that age and mine were irregular sometimes. BC can help but you’ll need to talk to your parents first and get permission. Most states need it at that age.

Yes it’s completely okay as long as your parents give you permission. In Missouri it’s the parents responsibility till you’re 18 to make sure you have what you need in medical terms. I would just sit down and talk to your parents. Most dr offices won’t do any exams or anything or cause you can do blood work or urine samples to test for anything. You won’t need an exam till you’re 21 if you live in Missouri
