How long between first steps and proper walking?

My 11 month old son can take about 5/6 unassisted steps but then he wobbles and falls on his bum. He started doing this a couple days ago. How long did it take for your LO to go from wobbly steps to full on walking?

My daughter did this before she turned one, she’d take a few steps fall and keep crawling. This was the end of March beginning of April last year, her bday is 4/25. She’d still only take a few steps then fall or pretend that she couldn’t do it at all. Then a week or two after her birthday the beginning of May she pulled up on my leg so I was going to help her walk she pushed my hand away and just walked off across the living room and hasn’t stopped walking since.

My son turn 1 on April 6th, last week. He started walking walking like everywhere just a few days ago! he prefers to walk over crawling and he stands up by himself too if he falls. it took him 2 months exactly from first steps(4-5 steps). its pretty cool but its not that big of a deal kids walk whenever they are ready. my first son didnt walk until he was like 14 months .

My daughter is 11 months.... she’s been taking upwards of 8 steps at a time for the past 2 weeks or so. Still hasn’t fully started walking yet. Just steps when she feels like it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ she’ll be 1 on the 21st.

My son started taking steps around 9 1/2 months, probably the past 2 weeks he’s been a steady walker, can walk for several minutes before falling or just deciding to sit down. He turns 1 on the 26th
