Dating scan🙏

So my partner and I went to our first scan or the “dating scan” and I’m a FTM so I didn’t know what to expect. We got there and went into the ultrasound room and she explained how it works. I lay down, tucked my top into my bra😂and she tucked the tissue paper into the waist of my leggings. She then proceeded to squirt the gel onto my belly which was cold😂she then used the probe thing to find the baby, make sure there were no problems, and check that there was only 1. Thankfully (as I’m a first timer) there was only 1. It wouldn’t stop wriggling and since the baby wasn’t in the right position (chin tucked to chest) I had to lift my hips, and shake😂

I can tell you I did it at least 5 times and the baby didn’t move, so she made me stand up and jump a few times. It still didn’t work. Eventually the little wriggler was in an alright position to be measured and it measured to be 12+6 which is exactly what I am (thought before the scan). It was a funny experience because it was nothing like I thought but it was amazing seeing the baby moving and the little heart beating.

I was told my due date is the 9th of October (9/10/2019) which is again, what I was told at my booking scan. It was an amazing experience for both me and my partner and I knew he loved it because he had a smile on his face when I looked at him every 2 minutes😂 As soon as I saw the little one in my belly it became very real for both of us.

I just had to tell someone that wasn’t family and I don’t usually post much.
