How can i stop this fear? 😞

So my friends just had their baby a few weeks ago. He was a premi so he has been in the NICU. Well CPS was called on them and they dont have custody of their son. We are thinking its because of the fathers past with drug use and the law and so on....

Point being. My spouse looked at me today and said "what if they try to take our son away like they did to them?" And i have been holding back tears all afternoon because now that he has brought that up im thinking what if.

Neither of us have been arrested or had drug use history or anything that could stop us from being amazing parents but my fear is still there. Im a FTM and im worried they will try and find an excuse to take my boy away and i just want this thought to go away 😭
