? For those measuring ahead.

Question

I'm very curious what happens when your measuring ahead. Does your due date change? Do the induce early? What happens?

Answer

I was measuring 2 weeks ahead my whole first pregnancy. My due date never changed and my daughter was born 8 days late at 9lbs. 
I believe as long as your pregnancy and baby are healthy, there is no reason to induce. 
But, every doctor is different!

I'm measuring ahead.
Had an ultrasound and it's because of babies position.
Apparently, he's laying on his side.
I am 5 cm ahead. He's measuring totally normal according to the US.
Currently 30 weeks.
At 32 weeks, I'm going in for weekly US to monitor things.

With my first pregnancy, I started measuring 3-4 weeks ahead at my 30 week appt.... continued to measure ahead at my growth scan at 34 weeks (was measuring around 39-40 weeks).... eventually I made the decision to get a scheduled c section at 39 weeks (due date never changed).... my son came out weighing 9.5 lbs ☺️

I was 22 weeks measuing 29 weeks they didnt do anything so I seen another doctor to get another opinion and with my first son I was always measuing way to big and I had excesses amounts of fluid ... I go for an ultrasound in Monday to see if this is the same thing .
But for the fluid being to much they will need to induce you to make sure the head blocks your cervix so that the cord doesnt come out before the head if your water accidentally breaks at home it could be dangerous and they would need to do an emergency  c section if that happened . So I got induced at 40 weeks and everything was fine . They did send me for alot of ultrasounds inbetween to make sure the baby wasnt growing to big tho

I”ve measured ahead with my last pregnancy and this one. Growth scans don’t show a larger than average baby, but I do have polyhydraminos so a lot of fluid. My last pregnancy I was induced at 40w 2d and baby weighed 9lb 13oz and his shoulders got slightly stuck. I’m 33w right now and fundal height is 38cm. We will probably induce at 39w because of prior shoulder dystocia.
