Longer cycle while breastfeeding?

With my first born I didn't have a cycle for 2 years after he was born. This time my cycle came back at 6 months postpartum and Its about 40 days long which is much longer than I'm use to. I know breastfeeding can mess with o es cycle but has this happened to anyone?
