How do you feel about a teen going to live with his dad?

What are your feelings towards a teenage boy who has lived with his mom his entire life now going to love with his dad? Is that weird? Nothing is wrong with mom, it is just now time for dad to step up. Also dad has not been very active in his life until now. What are your thoughts towards this?

Well it seems like the boy wants to get to know the father more. If that's the case then I would let him even though it would be hard.

I have too many questions to have an opinion...Are you mom? How does the teen feel about it? How does mom feel? How does dad feel? Is dad's house a safe environment? Will the parenting be consistent with the teen's upbringing by mom? Is the teen struggling at mom's? Whose idea was it and why was it brought up?

My husband did the same when he was in high school, he had a healthy relationship with both parents though. 
He has two male cousins close to his age that also moved to his dads place before he did. He really enjoyed the experience and learned a lot of independence

My husband moved in with his father when he was 14, just wanted to be with his dad instead of his mom at that time but his dad was always a part of his life.

I don’t see an issue with it. But it might start off kinda awkward between him & his dad, since they don’t know each other too well
