is it true that a blood test can determine the gender at 8 weeks? what’s the earliest that we can have an accurate prediction/identification of the baby’s gender? i know a long time ago it was 18-20 weeks but i heard nowadays with newer technology we can find out sooner...

We have a company here called 1st glimpse and they start the blood test at 9 weeks and the confirm it with an us at 13 weeks and it’s pretty cheap 89$

There is a blood test they’ll do typically around 10-12 weeks through your doctor or midwife that’s to screen for genetic abnormalities and it will also tell you gender. It’s usually only covered by insurance if you’re considered high risk for any of the things they’re screening for, and it’s rather expensive if not covered.
There’s also the sneak peek test you can just pay for independently of your doctor or midwife, starting at 9 weeks, which is also a blood test but it’s only for gender and you take the sample yourself at home and send it in. It uses the same science as the other genetic tests but is more prone to incorrect results because of user error/contamination in taking a sample yourself at home.
