Baby’s not even here yet and...

Stacy

I am already dreading having someone watch our baby when we go back to work.

It will likely be my MIL or a cousin of ours because we can’t afford daycare. I feel like I would be more comfortable with daycare because they are experts. I love her, but my MIL is like 65 and forgets everything. We will have to make notes all around the house I’m sure. She’s also shaky up and down stairs and we we are in a 3-level townhouse. Hopefully she will just stay on the middle floor with baby and not try to walk up or down the stairs with them.

Baby will be about 4 months when I go back to work. Any of you already experience this and have advice?? My MIL is the most well meaning human on the planet, but I’m still worried. The cousin who might watch baby instead is younger and has had kids recently so I feel like she knows the latest safety stuff and it’s been more recent for her.

Am I terrible for being worried about my MIL???
