OT: PADSICLES

I made some for an aquintance last Sat but unable to give to her since they have to go to hospital. She just gave birth this morning. We might visit this Fri. Would it still be usable? How long u can use it PP?weeks? Can u give me instructions too. I've read that to thaw it 2-3 mins before use. Change every 1-2 hrs. Is it very cold too that it's uncomfortable? I only made like 8 pcs for myself last yr thinking I might have a CS then I really did. I made 8 too for her in case she'll have CS too since she's going to be induced too. I'm not sure if she'll use it though. She doesn't know I made some along with our gifts for her & her baby. I'm worried she might not use it. So I'm not sure if I'll add more.
