No Birth Partner?

Question

Has anyone ever given birth with no birth partner or is planning to? 
My SO is working in the Middle East so he probably won't be able to make it home in time. 
So I'm wondering if anyone has any good pointers or positive stories about doing it on their own? 
I feel confident about it at the moment but then I have days that it just crushes me knowing that he won't be there.

Hire a doula! She will be your birth partner and is also incredibly experienced and knowledgeable about labor to help you manage pain, stay properly hydrated, be your advocate to nurses when you are focusing/ can’t speak.

I can’t say I did it alone cause I had my mom. But my husband was deployed in the Middle East and I was induced early so not only was he deployed and couldn’t make it home but he didn’t even know I was having the baby until after I had him cause he was in a mission! So after a 24 hr labor and a few hours after I had him I didn’t tell anyone or let anyone come see the baby until his daddy got to Skype us and see his boy first. I’d say maybe if you have a close friend that could come up and be with you. Just having that support really helps.

My husband is going to be on deployment so even if he manages to come home he’ll still miss the birth and all but Im just going into this with an open mind and trying to stay relaxed

Mine is scared he won’t make it home in time also he’s working 4 hours away and he’s like he might just stay home it sucks
