Breech - Successful turn at 39 wks?

Question

I’m currently 39.2 and have just discovered my baby is breech. I’m in for more scans and assessments tomorrow, during which they may offer to try and manually turn the baby. Does anyone know of any successful turns in the 39th week?

Go to a chiropractor! Mine says 95% of breech babies are cause mom’s tailbone is out of alignment and has issues, and they can make baby turn 95% of the time. It’s pretty late, but if you can go for a couple times a week for a couple weeks it could work!

I turned my bubba at 39 by doing a headstand for a few minutes to dislodge her out of the pelvis. Then when I jumped into bed I felt her turn. Obviously I don’t recommend a headstand, I am a qualified yoga teacher - but, you can try tipping you hips higher than your shoulders, say on the sofa for a few mins. Check out spinning babies.com

I think it’s still possible, the doctor that did mine said he had managed it before at 39 even 40 weeks so there’s definitely still hope! I would recommend spending the day before doing the forward leaning inversion (https://spinningbabies.com/learn-more/techniques/the-fantastic-four/forward-leaning-inversion/) and also the Breech Tilt (https://spinningbabies.com/learn-more/techniques/other-techniques/breech-tilt/) as this will help to dislodge babies bum from your pelvis, making the whole procedure much easier for the doctor!
