Nursing latch

Katie

Ok, so my daughter and I (who is 3 weeks old!) Are getting over a cold and her latch has been very weak. We went to the Dr and the RSV test came back negative so it's just a wait and keep her confined. Now, my throat is all kinds of yucky. If her throat felt like this, then it would make sense that she wouldn't feed very well on me and better with a bottle, right? She use to have a TIGHT latch, not so much anymore. She'll easily eat from the bottle because it comes out easier for her but I can take it out of her mouth no problem.

So now that she is on the mend, I'm about a day behind her I think. What can I do to get that latch back or will it come back naturally?

I did ask her Dr this question and he just said not to worry about it, and there is a slight language barrier... And I just want to see if anyone else has gone through this.

Thank you!
