Brazilian wax — does it hurt? What to expect?

I’ve never gotten anything besides my eyebrows waxed! What should I expect? Considering for my vacation to Mexico. Should I try waxing at home first? How soon before my vacation should I get it done? How quickly does the hair grow back?

Whatever you do, DO NOT wax yourself at home - GO TO A PROFESSIONAL!! It doesn’t hurt too bad, and it takes 4-6 weeks for the hair to grow back long enough to need another session.

If you don’t have ANY training in waxing I definitely don’t recommend doing it yourself. The pain isn’t too bad, take a couple Tylenol before you go & get it done if you’re worried

Oh and get exfoliating gloves to use in the shower after, after 48 hours or when it’s calmed down ensure you use them every day and scrub well otherwise the ingrowing hairs are not fun!

It does hurt but if they’re good it’ll be quick.
I wouldn’t recommend trying it yourself first.
I’ve had it done a few times, I now prefer to trim and wax my bikini line only.
