Miscarriage but no bleeding or cramping???

Hey everyone! I just wanted to see if anyone has gone through a similar experience. I have a 5 year old daughter. My husband and I decided to ttc #2 and lost the baby at 6 almost 7 weeks in January. My obgyn cleared me to try again after one cycle. So we waited a cycle and tried again. We conceived right away again and I should be 5 weeks exactly today. I decided to get my hCG levels checked early on due to my previous miscarriage. So at 4 weeks my hCG was 192 progesterone was 18. My midwife said my levels looked great. Then 2 days later I went in for follow up hCG. It went down to 158. I was told that I was going to have a miscarriage. My midwife called me and said to make a “loss” follow up appointment to do testing and get checked out.

So today I went in for my follow up appointment and the nurse asked how the bleeding is. I am not bleeding at all. Have not spotted one bit. No cramps at all. This is completely different than my miscarriage in January. I took another pregnancy test at the office and it came up positive. I had an ultrasound done and they didn’t see anything (I didn’t expect them to since I’m so early anyway).

My midwife said “I’m sorry for your loss, wait 3 cycles before trying again”- I asked when I should expect to bleed and she said I might not bleed.... I’m so confused, why wouldn’t o bleed or pass tissue if I’m having a miscarriage???
