I think I may have a sinus infection. I’ve never had one, so I’m not sure. I’ve had a sore throat, horrible cough, fluidy feeling in my ears and off and on fever of 102 since Monday evening. Went to urgent care last night and flu and strep tests came back negative. However, due to how bad my throat looked (according to the dr), he gave me an antibiotic shot in the butt and put me on amoxicillin for 10 days. They’re basically treating it like strep. My nose is a bit runny this morning, which it hasn’t been, and I’m just wondering if it’s not a sinus infection with all the pollen we’ve had lately. Will amoxicillin treat a sinus infection?
