Low iron levels

So had my glucose test on Tuesday and got the results today. Good news is I don't have gestational diabetes bad news I need a blood transfusion. My ferritin level is 11 🤬 so I will be having a blood transfusion next week sometime. I'm 27 + 2. Has anyone had a transfusion and how did it go, how did you feel afterward??
