Okay so my son has a friend who is from Pakistan. They are just really good friends and we live a block away. My son had his birthday celebrated in a small way. The only friend he wanted at his birthday was his friend. So we go to their house and give invitation. Mind you I asked what kind of food would you like to eat so that I can please you and family. Anyways in the invitation I asked to please respond if coming. That was on a Thursday. So next day no response,party or get together was on Saturday. Well we had cooked and since no response from his friends family,we didn’t prepare anything else other than a cooked meal and cake. So 2hours before the “party” started my sons friends mom text me we are coming. 🤯 I go crazy and order a meal from an Indian restaurant which sale HALAL food so I can make them feel at ease. Because they are MUSLIM and do not eat anything other than halal food. I did not know how to greet them so I did what I knew. I shook hands with everyone. 🤦🏻‍♀️Biggest mistake ever I think. So it was only my sister,mom,my 3 boys and I. Hubby working out of town. So my sons friend dad leaves. Family stays back for like 30 minutes. I offer them water,no thank!

Would you like to eat? No thank you!!! Okay... would you like some cake? Well okay...thank you.

So I take them home,just drop them off. After that my sons mom ignores me. Like I have ran into her face to face and I gnoses me. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED!! Did I offend them somehow? Like what did I do wrong? I even called them after and apologized for shaking their hands. Like what happens??!!! Please someone help me because even my sons friend can’t speak to him anymore.
