Anyone wish they’d just had a normal miscarriage?

I had a missed miscarriage last year and I find myself wishing it had been a regular old obvious miscarriage. I’m 12w1d with my rainbow baby and I have no reason to worry, but I know that that doesn’t necessarily mean everything is good to go. 
The wait between appointments is driving me crazy. I’ve thought about buying a Doppler about a million times now, but I know that if I don’t find that little heartbeat, I’ll be even more stressed!
Anyone else? Any advice?

Yes. 
Two days before our gender scan we found out our babys heart had stopped just a few days before. I was 18 weeks, not bleeding, or pain, and my body was progressing like normal. 
I'm currently 13+5 and we had a scan today but I'm still terrified

Yep! Both of my losses were missed miscarriages and I feel like I would have less fear this time around if I hadn’t lost them in the way that I did. Even after having a great scan last week and this being as far as we’ve ever made it, I’m still terrified that at any point I’ll lose this one and not know until our next appointment. I wanted a Doppler but I can’t trust myself to not abuse it and potentially stress myself out more. Just going to have to trust that everything is going well and I remind myself there’s nothing I can do to stop another mmc from happening if it’s going to happen as I’m already doing all I can to support this pregnancy.

I found out I had a missed miscarriage at my 13 week scan. The baby stopped growing around 9-10 weeks. I totally understand what you mean. This pregnancy I was always so anxious going to doctors appointments and found myself crying at night because I didnt know whether everything was okay or not. It wasn’t until I started feeling him move that I kind of relaxed. But for those first 4 months or so I was a nervous wreck. I don’t recommend buying a Doppler because even this early trained medical professionals have a hard time finding baby’s heartbeat with a Doppler. I knew if I didnt find it I’d just freak out . It’s not easy but you just have to try an put it out of your mind . I’d try to find ways to distract myself because I knew whether it happened again or not was out of my control.

Same. I’ve had three and I’m now 18 weeks tomorrow. My other losses were all detected by 9 weeks so I’m past that point this time around but that doesn’t stop me from worrying. I’m hoping I’ll start feeling movement soon so I won’t worry as much but I have an anterior placenta which supposedly makes it harder to feel movement. I just want a little window so I can see him at all times! I don’t know that the worry ever goes away but I do think it lessens.

I’m literally in the exact same boat at 12 weeks 5 days. I called my doctor today asking for another ultrasound because I’m so anxious!

I feel the same way! A missed miscarriage in August with our first pregnancy. We were shocked at the 12 week scan to find out there was no longer a heartbeat. Now we are 17 weeks and I still get very anxious at times. I hate going for ultrasounds because I fear the worst.
