Should I call her pediatrician?

My daughter decided she wanted to carry around a plastic dinner plate which, no big deal...or so we thought. She dropped it on her big toe and now it’s completely purple. I’ve never dealt with this before, should I call her dr? She doesn’t seem to be bothered by it...but I don’t want it to end up painful for her.

No need to call the dr. They wouldn’t be able to help anyways. Its just a bruise it’ll go away in a couple days

It doesnt look bad my kid had way worse if its big and extremely blue and purple yes i would take her in but it doesnt look like it most they would do is say just put ice and warm wrap and keep an eye on it

I would keep an eye on it. My sister had something similar happen when we were younger and had to get under the nail drained because the blood was pooling and causing pressuring. I was super young at the time, so I’m not sure exactly the reason, but she dropped a can on her big toe and he had to drill a hole on the top of her toe nail to let the blood out.

Don’t call dr they can’t do anything, don’t be surprised if the nail actually falls off at some point if so no worries a new one will have grown back under it

Looks just bruised but just keep a eye out for swelling an not able to bend it

She could lose the nail but that's not that big of a deal. My dad was a doctor and all he would do is heat up a paperclip and press it to the nail to burn a hole and release the pressure to keep the nail but I never did that and dealt with losing my nail lol.

The toenail will stay that color and either grow out or fall off
