Is it crappy to invite someone to bridal shower & bachelorette party but not wedding or reception?

I've already bought several things off of her registry but I was told that she doesn't plan on inviting me or my family to the wedding or reception. 
My SIL is in the wedding, bridesmaid, and it's her best friends wedding.

Where I’m from, getting invited to the shower/bachelorette is a precursor invite to the wedding. Plus those types of things are usually held after invites/save the dates go out so that’s really weird and of course extremely rude.
Don’t go to any party, return/use the gifts, and she can fuck off 😊

So rude! Someone told me that we’re planning on doing that to a mutual friend. Granted, he is incredibly annoying! But I told her it was awful to do so! If anything, I think it should be the other way around. I feel those parties are supposed to be much more intimate. Unless of course you’re having it for the gifts 🤔

I think that’s rude. The only way I can see that as ok if maybe they did a very small wedding with only a few close family members. Or a courthouse wedding but still did a bridal shower 🤷‍♀️

That is absolutely crappy! The only way that is okay is if it’s a church or work shower where you had no control over the invitations/it was a mass invite.
