Meal replacement for kids?

Is it safe to give a 4 year old kid meal replacement drinks? Not like pediasure but like meal replacement drink from Walmart.... not for kids just regular meal replacement!
My boyfriends nephew who we watch often refuses to eat anything but French fries so his mother has started giving him these meal replacement chocolate drinks.. everyday

Is it for kids? We used to give my son pediasure due to his low weight. As he got older he started eating more again and it wasn’t necessary.
