Late night hangout innocent?

So my boyfriend was hanging out with his so called best friend at 12 o’clock at night for a hour. His best friend is a girl. I was on the phone with him but he didn’t tell me that he was going to be hanging out with her that late. I don’t have a problem with the friendship but he should have told me before we he went over there. Am I wrong for being a little upset? Just wondering
