Stay together or END it?

My boyfriend of a year said he doesn’t see us getting married in the future. (The reason he gave was because he is too controlling and has anger issues that he knows I’m not going to go along with) Now I’m somewhat in a weird spot... like what now? Just continue a relationship that isn’t going anywhere? We’re both 20 and in college btw

If he hadn’t admitted that he was a controlling and angry person, I would say go with it. But he’s straight out telling you that he might turn out to be an abuser, which can be really toxic. It’s such an odd thing to say

If he doesn’t see you getting married ever and you want to be married someday then yeah I would probably end it. Just seems like a waste of time otherwise. His argument seems strange anyway and a bit of a red flag.
