4 week old- Play time or not?

Question

I mainly feed, change and make my baby sleep. I think it is too early for play time as he gets over stimulated and then overtired and then he doesn’t sleep.
Do you mothers do play time?

I do Tummy time as playtime. I put her on her play mat on her belly and she has about 5 minutes on there until she either cries because she’s had enough, or she’ll fall asleep like in the pic 😂

I set my daughter down in her activity gym each day and she just loves staring at the bright colors. I'll get down on the floor with her and do tummy time and talk to her while she looks around. We started doing this within her first week at home.

We do tummy time and play mat. It also entertains my 2.5 year old. 😂

Mine is also four weeks and IF he’s awake I will “play” with him. Which is really just I get super close to his face where he can see me, talk/sing, and i move his hands around as he holds my fingers. We don’t actually do much 🤷‍♀️

Play time this early is mostly just giving baby attention and maybe a little tummy time 🤷🏻‍♀️

I try to, but she doesn't seem ready for much. 🤷. I think of it more as giving us an opportunity to do play, but I don't force  it.

Tummy time 4-6x
Lays in crib kicking and watch mobile 
Lays in play pen with his rattle
Yesterday we petted the dog for 10 min while he explored her fur
We read stories
Mommy sings
We also go out once a day...  play groups... meet friends... shop... car ride... library...
 But ya its hard
