Is anyone going to 42 (or beyond) as long as baby is healthy?

I see everyone getting induced before their due dates or shortly after, anyone giving baby as long as it(safely) takes to come naturally?

I’ll go to 42 weeks as long as baby and I are healthy. I do not want to be induced!!

The “ beyond “ part isn’t safe. Anything after 41-42 you need to be induced.

Being uk based its standard to let mums go to 42 weeks if all is well. I’m currently 41+3 and booked in to be induced on Wednesday. I’ve tried EVERYTHING, including reflexology, aromatherapy, sex, walking miles, a sweep..... and still no signs of labour.  I’m giving up and instead planning a fun two days with my 3yo to distract me before I’m induced. It’s not what I wanted but as long as baby is safe then that’s what matters.

If they offer to take baby at 38/39w it'll be hard to say no.

They won’t allow me to go past 39 weeks due to gestational diabetes so I have one week max left.
