This was around my 4 month olds diaper area. It’s really red. Is it a rash or something else ? Does it look normal ? I’m a first time mom.

Looks like a burn almost. Maybe the diaper gave him a chemical rash? I would stop using those diapers and let him/her air out. And put some aquaphor on it.

Maybe reaction to your detergent if you’re using cloth diapers?

What brand diapers you using. I remember my son had it when he was 3 months old. I was using huggies and changed to pampers and rash gona away after I using pampers.
