Dog and baby??

Hey guys!
I need important advice (please be honest) about a dog and baby in a small flat. 
I know already...most of you think NO WAY. And commonly babies need absolute safety BUT my dog is so bloody loving it’s actually going to break my heart to sell him, so any ideas?!!

I own a small home and have two cats and a dog, yeah adding a new born was stressful but family is family. we make it all work.

I have two dogs and wouldn’t ever consider rehoming them due to baby. Some small dogs are great with babies. Some big dogs are. Some are horrible. Just don’t leave them alone together until you know how both will behave. I’ve been playing cries and baby noises for my dogs to get them used to new sounds. I’ll have someone bring home a baby blanket after he’s born so they get used to his smell before we get home. Just be careful and be prepared for anything!

Just keep an eye out and never leave baby unattended with the dog. You don’t have to give up your dog, only if it becomes aggressive. A lot of dogs end up acting as a big sibling once baby arrives.

Dogs are family and pack animals. You will absolutely break his heart for life if you re-homes him. I would keep a close eye on the two together and never leave the little one unsupervised with the dog. Only consider re-homing if you begin see signs of aggression with the dog, and even then you might consider taking it to a behavioralist first. I think you should have no problem though since you said your dog is friendly and loving. It’s definitely doable though! We have two large dogs and a baby on the way. I could never consider giving up my dogs as they are equally part of my family. Good luck!!

I have 2 labs, and one of them is still a pretty young puppy. They both absolutely adore my son. And I have not had any issues. And our puppy has definitely matured since bringing baby home. You should keep your dog!

I'm so confused by this post... why the hell would you think people here would say "no way"? Not once has it ever crossed my mind to sell my dog because of having our daughter 🤦🏻‍♀️ that's poor pet ownership right there. Our dog is a member of our family and is treated as such. And we've always made sure our daughter has been in the safest environment possible. Even now, at almost 2 years old, our daughter is never left unattended with the dog. Our dog was also put through training to prep him her for arrival and we keep our home a warm, loving environment. I have no idea why you're asking such odd questions.

what kind of dog? mine is 5 pounds and we live in a small apartment and it's pretty easy to manage. I just have my husband take her out because I'm still recovering from my c section

I would have never even entertained the thought of giving up my dog for my baby, unless there was a legitimate safety reason.
I live in a averaged sized apartment and while my dog is very loving, he’s also kind of jealous with “only child syndrome”. He’s 6 and while he’s not super interested in baby anymore, I wouldn’t leave him unattended with the baby. Other than that, there’s no reason for me to be concerned 🤷🏻‍♀️
