How did he know he was the one?

Please, do not tell me, if he was the one you wouldn't be asking this question.
Im a person who thinks a lot and a lot and even doubt myself sometimes so it's normal for me to question everything.

I don’t believe in “the one”. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. I chose my husband. I choose him every day. I choose to love him, respect him, work on our relationship and never give up. If we were ever to split up I’d hope that we would both find other relationships and love again.

I knew my SO was the one when I started planing my life with him in it. Like when I think of the future I always see him in it, and honestly he’s my best friend, he’s the first person I want to talk to when something (good or bad) happens, he’s there for me when I need him and he’s my voice of reason when I need it (because sometimes I can get caught up in the drama of things and I need him to be honest and sometimes not sugar coat the things I need to hear).
It’s this weird feeling that I get like I just know, that he’s going to be there for me always

I asked my mom this question when I now husband started dating.  I was 17 turned 18 two months after.  I was worried I was to young.  Now we did get married for 8 years. But we have been together 16 years. He was my best friend before we started dating.  
My mom asked me “if you could never see him again or talk to him how much would you miss him? When something happens is he the first one you want to tell? Does it make you happy when he calls you unexpectedly or text you unexpectedly?

Girlll😭I’m an overthinker as well & the way I see it is honestly, you never know when they are rlly the one because you can think it all you want but you won’t rlly know until time goes by tbh. You can be married to someone for 30 years and obviously by then you’d think this is the person you’re supposed to be with for the rest of ur life then on that 31st year u guys are divorced. Life is crazy & the unexpected always happens just because u think someone is the one doesn’t mean they think you are the one so it’s hard to rlly have a fixed way to know. I keep an open mind & just go with the flow because anything can end doesn’t matter what you thought or what you thought u knew 🤷‍♀️

I mean I know this isn’t helpful but I just knew. I knew the second I met him and I still know today. We’ve been together for 8 years and have seen a lot of life in that time period. A lot of hard times have hit us and through it all he’s the only one I wanted with me. 
He’s my absolute best friend in the whole world and that helps. We have a solid foundation to fall back on when times get tough.

It’s one of those things that you kinda do just know lol but what really did it for me was thinking about how I would feel if we broke up or thinking about what my life would be like without him. I cried just thinking about it. I knew that I needed and wanted him in my life for the rest of my life because I couldn’t even think about not having him in it

I just knew within a couple of weeks that I'd end up marrying my husband. It took around 10 years, 2 break ups and a lot of other stuff, but we finally married 2.5 years ago. Don't get me wrong, there's been times I've wondered why I ever got back with him, but there's always that underlying feeling that I just can't/ don't want to be without him.

I knew when I was having a really horrible time of it, and he was trying to make a joke to cheer me up, and give me advice— I told him I hated how he always thought he knew best and found himself too funny. 
 
I was horrid to him, more than I’ve ever been..  
But he just hugged me, even though I made him angry and upset. Because he knew I was so low. He was there for me when I needed someone most, despite what I put him through.
