If someone said “your husband is very handsome! 🙂” would you take it negatively?

Some one stating he is handsome is fine. Doesn't bother me. But if it's said in a different way I wouldn't appreciate it. Like, damn your man is hot.... Or wow your hubs is sexy, shit like that wouldn't fly with me. But a genuine polite compliment is just fine.

Nope. I have women tell me all the time my husband is handsome/cute etc. I take it as a compliment cause I know he is & he’s mine!

I have never had a problem with it , HOWEVER! There was an incident where i had just met a friend of friend's and she complimented to me that my husband was very good looking. And then proceeded to stare at him all night and occasionally try and "flirt" in ways my friends ussually wouldnt. And so the combination of not knowing her and her undressing him with her eyes IS what bothered me. I think in that case it became rude. I really felt like had i not been there she would have crossed a line. Im HUGE on respect tho. 💁

Before my family knew my husband and I were in fact my HUSBAND and I we went to a family reunion and my cousins (older and younger)kept hitting on him. I was just sitting back laughing cause he kept politely turning them down. Then my cousin comes to me crying asking if she was pretty and I told her she was. She says then why wont he give me the time of day, pointing straight at my husband. I had to try so hard not to laugh in her face as I quietly explained we were married and weren't going to tell anyone until after the reunion (it was for my grandfather's funeral and just didn't feel like the right time to announce).
