I’m going through my 4th round of IVF after going through a loss in December. Im on stimulation day #4, 18 follicles are growing so far. Has anyone had success with Ivf in their forties, using their own eggs?

I just received a call from my fertility nurse, out of 7 fertilized eggs only 3 five day blastocyst. I am so afraid I will not have any good embryos once they do PGS testing on them. I’m 42, is m afraid my time has run out. Please share if you have any advise.

That’s a wonderful number of follicles!!!! I know several women who had successfully IVF cycles in their 40s. I turned 41 2 weeks ago and I just had my day 2 appointment and only had 4 visible follicles, the lowest count it’s ever been so I’m feeling very deflated. I’ve had 2 previous retrievals and have 2 embryos on ice.

Best wishes @J. I turn 41 in June and hope things progress once my BC ends in early May and injections begin. Also doing ICSI w/ PGS. I am glad to know other people w/ similar age etc. are on here going through IVF.

I was watching dr Sherman silber discuss mini ivf on YouTube,it seems promising. My RE has me on a antagonist protocol. 300 IU gonal F and 150 units of menopur every night.
