I was recently in a relationship with a guy who was so sweet and amazing and I always had butterflies with him. It was the happiest I had ever been in a very long time. Only, he ended it a few days ago.

This guy, let’s call him Jack. Jack has dated a few girls and those relationships didn’t last long at all because he ended them. He told me that he was experimenting what a relationship would feel like.

He told me that he loved me and all these sweet things. He would write paragraphs and always make me laugh. In my pure little heart, I believed him. I believed every word out of Jack’s mouth. And I began to live him too. And he knew that.

A week after dating, he broke a bone in his arm. Of course I got scared and asked him about it and made sure he was okay... Later, he said he had a surprise for me and he asked me to remind him what my favorite color was. He told me it would stick with me for a few months, indicating that our relationship might last that long. The next day, I saw him at school with a cast on his arm that was my favorite color. It was SO SWEET.

Then that evening, he broke up with me. He told me that he had been going through a lot of stuff recently. I don’t believe any word of it. I know the dumb games he plays on girls. The satisfaction he gets when he gets girls to fall in love with him and then be heartbroken and devastated when it’s over. He’s a jerk.

I’m so confused though. I’m mad and sad and confused and I just wish I’d never dated him. And he was the one who asked me out. He told me he had had a crush on me for over 6 months.

I honestly want to get back at him and make him feel the pain that I do. I want to break his molecule-sized heart. But I know it will only make things worse.

Help me figure this thing out.
