Honda Pilot?

Question

Anyone have a Honda Pilot and love it? I’m looking at one and am wanting real life opinions. It’ll be our family car (we have two kids)!

I liked mine well enough...until the key stopped unlocking with the button. Rekeying it was expensive so I unlocked it manually. Then it stopped working in the ignition. So I rekeyed the ignition and had 1 key for doors and 1 for ignition. Then it stopped opening the driver's door so I had to unlock from passenger side. Then that stopped working so I had to unlock it from the rear hatch. Then that stopped working so I just left it unlocked. Then my daughter accidentally locked and unlocked it from the inside which sets off the alarm and the only way to shut off the alarm is to unlock driver's door with the key. Hubby yanked the alarm wires so it would stop the horn alarm but the lights continued to flash unless I was driving with my lights on. Even when the car was off the flashed draining my battery so every time I stopped the car I had to unplug my battery and then replug it if I needed to drive somewhere. No mechanic could figure out how to fix it. Apparently the key issue is common in hondas. So, if you get one, pay the ridiculous amount of money to rekey if your key stops working. Otherwise you might end up with a expensive piece of junk that you leave unlocked and hope someone steals.
