Let me start by saying, my dog was rescued from a dog fighting family where he was used as a bait dog. For those of you who dont know what that is it means he was tied to a very short leash and was meant to be attacked by other dogs in order to train them. He did this for the first 4 years of his life.

I adopted him almost 2 years ago despite everyone telling me not to. I heard it all.

"Hes violent" " hes no good with kids" "he will attack your other animals"

I've had him this long now and all I can say is none of this is true. What I adopted was a dog that needed someone, someone to keep him safe and love him. This dog has been the best decision I've ever made. Hes gentle, and sweet.

Today, we were attacked

And I know most are assuming it was by a pittbull, nope it was what we all consider a perfect family dog.... a golden retriever.

My sweet boy is a full breed Pitt and this dog ruined him.

My dog needed stitches in several spots and his swollen with bruising around his neck from being dragged my this dog..

Me I had to get 13 stitches and will be going back to have my severed nerves fixed with surgery.

I never want to hear pitbulls are a bad breed ever again, because if you dont take the time to train and raise them properly and breed can be violent
