need honest opinions/answers 😀

so i work at a restaurant .. my boss is the type to change things and kinda spring things on ya last minute .. he told me saturday night while i was working that he wants to give me a shot with mornings instead of nights (i only worked weekends before) now i work 5 days a week and he increased my pay from 8 to 10 an hour . My 19th bday is thursday and before i never worked that day so i wasn't going to ask to have off , now all the sudden ofc the week of my bday i wont have off and i really wanted to 😫 i would be working 10-4 but wed night i'm going to a nba game and i know i'll be out late (part of my bday present from bf) i just feel like asking him if he can do me a solid bc before two days ago i wouldn't have this issue, my mom thinks it's wrong bc i got a raise and shouldn't be calling out but ofc all my peers are agreeing that they'd take off, what do you think ?
