I have a snake and 2 geckos.

It really just depends on you and then pet. I killed my guinea pig because it got depressed. My hamster lived past life expectancy. My cat things it's a human baby. My ferrets are very social and playful and have tons of personality but to make sure they didn't get depression and die I had to get two. When I had a pet snake she was bought from a farmers market and because she was handled so much my kids she was perfect, never bit and half of the time wouldn't eat her live mice. She would go on walks with me and go into stores. Wrapped around my hand. Then she escaped her tank in the middle of the night and I never saw her again. The main thing to consider is animals aren't just an impulse buy and and you need to do so much reasearch on that pet before taking one in and thinking it's the family member for you then changing your mind. They are going to be your family but they are still an animal and if one thing makes you think "no" like how bad ferrets stink or that a snake has to be live fed then don't take on that animal. That one "no" will start small and will grow on you to hate your pet.

Rather get another snake than any of those. They’re such cuties and I love their personalities. I adore rabbits and ferrets but I don’t think I’d care to have them as a pet.
