FWB turned BF?

I’ve been hooking up with a close friend of mine for the past 6 months and things are going well. We get along really well and I feel like this could go somewhere (aka turn into a more serious relationship) because we are constantly talking to each other flirting or together just hanging out. However, I move out of the state in a month so I’m not sure if telling him the way that I feel is worth it. I’ve never been in a relationship before (I’m 23) and I don’t know if I want my first one to be long distance. Is that a reason to pass this up?
