Ladies, did your 6 months old babies got the MMR shot at 6 months check up?

There’s a meassles outbreak here where we live and adviced to get the MMR shots at 6 months and up but when i looked up my son’s vaccination chart he wasn’t given the MMR shot at his 6 months visit. Are we the only one?

Our doctor won’t give it to him til he’s a year. I googled it and most doctors won’t do it til a year.

I asked about it at my sons four month visit and the doctor told me they typically don’t give the MMR shot until 12 months. However, if there was ever an outbreak in the area the earliest it can be given is 6 months. A second one would then be given at 12 months. So if there is an outbreak near you, you can definitely ask!

We go on Friday for her 6 months, and its listed as 1 she's getting along with influenza and rotavirus.

At 6 months they should get RV,DTAP, HIB, PCV13. The MMR isn’t given u til they are 12months old.
“MMR vaccine is given later than some other childhood vaccines because antibodies transferred from the mother to the baby can provide some protection from disease and make the MMR vaccine less effective until about 1 year of age.” According to CDC website.
