My late mother in law said if she ever had a daughter, she would call her Charlie. Both my husbands grandpas names were Charles, so it’s a 3 way “memorial” name for us. 
Whatever the reason, I like the name. There are a lot of “boys” names turned unisex in the past 20 years. Just don’t go naming your son “Sue” haha!

Some people are saying that the name is getting too popular but I don’t know of any girls with that name around where I live, haven’t ran into one yet. Same with Scarlett
