Frustrated!

When will the contractions become more real?! I’ve been in early labor for a month now and for the past 3 days I’ve been having painful contractions 10 minutes apart but they aren’t getting closer 😩 my 37 week appointment I was 1cm and I went to l&d a day later for contractions and I was 3cm and 30% effaced. Today I had my 38 week appointment and she tells me I’m 2cm dilated and thinned out some. How can I go from 3 to 2 cm?? Ugh! I’m so exhausted! Anyone else going through this??
