Anyone had a natural birth with no pain relief?

My dad kinds pressured me into an epidural with my first born. I was at an 8 and he kept telling me that I couldn’t do it without medicine and I got scared and got the epidural before it was too late. This pregnancy my dad will be nowhere near me while I’m in labor 😂 but I really wanna go without the epidural. Any tips for pain management and/or what to expect?

I did! I was induced and did it all natural. I was on my feet and rocked with the contractions! BIGGEST thing for me; a positive mindset! No matter what is said know that this what your body was made for, and it can do it all without medical intervention. Tell yourself from now on every day that you are a warrior and can absolutely do this. The unbearable pain literally lasted such a short period of time; the rest was manageable by deep breathing.
And recovery after is sooooo much better. Had an epidural with my first and it took forever for my body to go back to normal

Take a birthing class, find a method you like and practice (bradley, lamaze, hypnobirthing, your own visualizations) and learn lots of coping techniques and positions.
We’re planning an unmedicated homebirth, and I’m not worried at all about having no pain meds

And I did not want to.
It ended up not being terrible because she was smallish. Under 7 pounds. It was a major rush definetly unlike anything I've ever experienced. 
I was ok not knowing what it felt like tho lol and I don't plan on doing it again. 
It was a lot of pain and I kind of felt outside my body right at the end

Yep. 30 hours of labor and 1 of pushing. I had several 2nd degree tears. 
Definitely get a doula and learning how to properly breathe through contractions.

You also can have a more natural back up plan if things aren't going well, I used gas to get through mine, wears off 5 seconds after you stop breathing it, and if you ate already in the natural mindset, gas will feel like a crazy urge drug

1. Read Ina May’s “Guide to Childbirth”
2. Get a doula 
3. Take a childbirth class that focuses on pain management (like HypnoBabies)
4. Give birth in a place that will allow you to move, and won’t push pitocin on you unless you really need it.
5. Check out Spinning Babies’ “Daily Essentials” video. They’re exercises you do every day to help you birth easier. I love it, especially the yoga flow!
Remember, your body was made for this!!

Pray that it’s a fast labor lol . Just deep breaths , not sure if your hospital has a tub but that helped me . Also have your husband rub your back and distract you from the pain . Walk around .

I had my natural. It’s hurts not going to lie. But wasn’t as horrible as i thought it would beat least for me anyway. I’m a giant baby about pain so I really thought it would be so much worse without any meds but it wasn’t. For me it was good caused I walked around a lot which helped me a lot. I liked not having the meds because I could feel/ tell when I was in transition and was ready to push and it took 6 pushes.
All are different and there is no shame either way. Do what you think is best for your Body and i wouldn’t let others sway your mind. You know your body the best. 
For me what kept me going is knowing my little girl was going to be there soon.
As for the pain for me anyway, the contractions were just slightly more intense period cramps, I have very intense cramps every month so it was not much more pain than I was used to for the most of it. The transition part is horrible I felt like i was dying and i was really regretting not getting an epidural and when she crowned that really sucked. A lot of burning but once they are at that point it’s almost over.

Good luck. I had no pain relief due to medical condition. I had to deliver under induction. Going to be honest, worst pain ever. As soon as my water broke, I was in active labor. Horrible experience for me.
