Not baby related but that awkward moment when...
You download an app as a joke, and then start using it seriously 🤦♀️
When we had our first Son we struggled with intimacy, and feeling loved. My partner felt overworked at his job, pulling more shifts to cover what I'd lost by getting maternity allowance (wasn't able to get full amount because I'd not been working there long enough). And I felt under appreciated with looking after our Son, keeping the house clean, cooking, and keeping up with various appointments.
Our second Son was born 3 weeks ago, and everything has been so different this time. My partner is still overworked, but that was because of his job rather than finances. I now have 2 children to try to look after, on top of all the household duties. But neither of us are feeling unloved.
So, I was downloading an app that pinpoints your location and in the suggested apps for me it had some love app thing. So I downloaded it as a joke, and there was a quiz that tells you your "love language", so I did it, sent the link code to my partner and he did it too. Since then we've updated our goals, we've updated how loved we're feeling, and despite not having any issues it's really helped. Both of us have trouble expressing how we feel, because although we've been together for over 6 years, we both had very rocky previous relationships. This helps us tell each other how we feel without struggling to find the words.
EDIT: The app is called Love nudge. It does require an email address.
