Swaddles at the hospital?

Question

Did anyone swaddle their newborn straight away at the hospital after birth for the nights you stayed there? I don’t recall reading anyone packing those in their hospital bags for baby...

Our hospital did it with the blankets they have. But I also took the swaddle blanket someone gave us.

I did!! My son loved them. My hospital would wrap him up in a blanket but I knew I was going to use swaddles at home so I just stuck to those. Here he is almost a year ago! 😢

The hospital had the hallo swaddles and I felt so unprepared I didn't get one till we brought home baby. For baby #2 I am definitely  taking one  to the hospital.

Our hospital had Halo swaddles for us to use while we were there. They also have blankets so I don’t think there’s any reason to bring one from home since it’ll just create more laundry for you.

They used blankets to swaddle my daughter in the hospital. They didn’t want us using anything other than that while we were there. Once we got home we used the Velcro ones right away 👍🏻

The hospital used the blankets they had at the hospital for my daughter. She ended up in the NICU after birth and he was not into being swaddled. She would always get an arm or a leg out.. lol. When we came home I did not swaddle her. We will see if this one which is a boy likes to be swaddled.
