Do essential oils actually help?

My boyfriends mother swears by them🙄 it’s really annoying. My son will have a stomach ache and without even asking me she will put fucking oils on him. Get the fuck away!!!!

Essential oils can be wonderful. They aren't magical but if used correctly they are effective. If you don't want to use them no biggie but for the users of essential oils we swear by them because we have seen what they can do. Certain essential oils have helped my tinnitus when several drs just shrugged their shoulders at me. I've used them to cure my yeast infections when nothing else worked, they make me more comfortable when I'm sick, and can be a lifesaver for cramps during my period. Not to mention they smell amazing when diffused and are much safer to breathe in than artificial fragrances which can disrupt hormone functions.

Sometimes. But always see a medical professional for the best course of action.
Oils can be helpful, but not to be relied on imo.
However, I do believe that your boyfriends mother should NOT be putting oils on your son without your consent. Although she means well, he's your son in the end, and she should ask you before using oils.

Yes they can work. If you have good quality pure oils and know how to use them properly they work pretty well. 
Lavender works better for cuts and scars than bacitracin and mederma.
Tea tree oil is fantastic for acne and peppermint can help with nausea or stomach ache. 
Clove oil is used for toothaches and is legitimately used by dentists. 
Citrus oils are great for cleaning.
