Anyone ever have to take antibiotics in their first trimester?

I have to take antibiotics for a lingering sinus infection/bronchitis/ear infection that I couldn’t kick on my own. Cephalosporin for 7 days. Doctor said it is safe but I’m only 6 weeks pregnant and would like to hear about women who have taken antibiotics in their first trimester and everything turned out fine 😌

I’m 7 weeks with a uti and on antibiotics. The risks an infection carry are much higher than an antibiotic.

I have 5 weeks 3 days and have a horrible tooth infection and was prescribe amoxicillin and having the tooth pulled Saturday...it makes me very anxious but I know that it would be much worse left untreated and could potentially harm baby

I’ve taken antibiotics twice before 11 weeks, I was also nervous however leaving it untreated could cause more damage than the medication & the doctor wouldn’t recommend anything that would hurt baby. I’m currently 13 weeks & baby is fine so clearly it was safe. I went for a scan in the middle of my chest infection & UTI and baby was bouncing around oblivious to how sick I was. They are stronger than we think. Hope you start feeling better soon.

A doctor isn’t going to tell you it’s safe if it’s not. They are fine to take.

I’m 4 weeks and have a UTI so I’m on antibiotics they wouldn’t give you something that isn’t safe don’t worry

I had a double ear infection when I was 8 weeks pregnant and it took 2 rounds of antibiotics to clear up! My baby is now 8 months old. They’re completely safe. Don’t worry.
