Camping with a 5 1/2 month old?

So I am my husband are talking about going camping over the summer. Let me say it won’t be tent camping but primitive camping in cabin no power ect as my 8 year old would never be comfortable sleeping in a tent as she would panic. But has any one went camping with 5/6 month old and how did it go?

I went with a 4 month old. The cabin we were in had electric and water so it honestly wasnt much different. He slept in his pack play. Doing anything like fishing was a bit hard, we couldn't take the stroller because it wouldn't be able to go through the parts we had to walk in. So we used a carrier and it was fine but baby didnt last long lol. If there are bugs in your area, we used some Avon skin so soft oil. My aunt use to be a seller so idk if this is even a thing anymore but it keeps insects away. But it honestly wasnt any different than daily living in our house. Just a different scenery.

Im wanting no power but my husband wants power lol😂 the cabins I’m looking st doesn’t have showers or anything in them but does have running water . He’s nursed so other then washing him I Dnt have much need for water for he him self lol! But I’m in Ohio so yes we deff have bugs lol!! Thank you ! I’ve only ever went once my other two were over the age of 3 lol
