When to introduce the bottle

Question

So I've been exclusively breastfeeding, and it's gone relatively well ( the first week was rough!)  besides can bit of oversupply and his fussiness.  Now, my little dude is 5 weeks old and I am wondering when is a good time to introduce the bottle without disrupting the breastfeeding? I'll have to return to work in a month and I know it's necessary, but I don't want to risk doing anything too early.

I introduced a bottle and a pacifier within the first week. I am mostly breastfeeding but pump for extra and when its easier to bottle feed when my toddler is around. I haven't had any issues with nipple confusion.

My little one turns 4 weeks tomorrow and I introduced the bottle today and she took it very well, we used the Mam brand. We introduced the pacifier when she was 2 weeks and I honestly feel like it helped her latch better. I struggled so much during the first week.

My little one will be 3 weeks old Saturday. in the morning my boobs are soooo full so today after I fed her I pumped 1 bottle 1.5oz, and tonight I’m going to try to give it to her to introduce the bottle. I think if it goes well I’ll just do 1 bottle a day and just add that one pump so she can get used to the bottle. When it gets closer to when u go back to work I’ll pump more to get a stash but I’ll be able to pump lots at work so I’m not worried about that. More just worried she will refuse s bottle if I don’t introduce it soon enough.

My doctor and doulas recommended me to introduce between 3 and 4 weeks. That’s what I did and it went well! My husband feeds him one bottle every night both for him not to forget how the bottle feels like and for my nipples to heal better (has mastitis) and it also works great. Started giving him 2 oz and now he is having 3 or 4! He is 1 month and 2 days

My little ones always hate the bottle so we started to introduce it during week 2. Sometimes she takes it and sometimes she throws a fit. It's made no difference on her preference to my breast. I also pump an additional session if I bottle feed.

I never had any nipple confusion with either of my babies.... BUT with my first, it was tough finding a bottle she would take.... we went through several bottles. It probably took over a month to find something.... LOL so, just thought I’d share that in case it takes a few tries to find a nipple your baby likes.... my second child (he is a month old) will take any bottle, any nipple, on tap.... he just is not picky at all! LoL so, every child is super different, even from the same household

I'd say if you're supply is well established and your little one is eating well then you could introduce now. My little guy is coming up on 6 weeks and we introduced the bottle about a week ago.
