Advice please?! Hot tubs

I’m due to go away for a family weekend at end of April booked it before I found out I was pregnant will be 7 weeks and 5 days when we go it has a hot tub and I’m just wondering if I can use the hot tub ? With or with out the bubble thing? Thankyou

No you can’t use a Hot tub while pregnant, it increases you  body temp to much which is unsafe for the fetus, ( think of it like a boiling pot you’d essentially be cooking baby) sorry to be the bearer of bad news lol it’s only 9 months!! Stay safe xx

It's not the bubbles. It's the heat.  You can get too overheated very easily.  Hot tubs are a definite no no in pregnancy.  That being said, I think you could still stick your feet in.  Just not super long.  Drink water so you don't get too hot.  Have fun on your trip!

There’s no any real evidence as far as I know that suggests they can do any harm and I don’t think there ever has been any as it was just suggested as an arbitrary precaution decades ago, in fact I think this was largely disproved by a large study fairly recently but for some reason people still follow the outdated advice. I would suggest doing some reliable research on it and asking your doctor rather than asking people on here and deciding what to do based on that as with everything safety-related :) x

It's more about keeping yourself from overheating so it's less about the fact that it's a hot tub really, anything that raises your body temp over 102 can be a concern.  The AAP doesn't recommend it, but turning the temp down, only staying in 10mins or less, or even just sitting on the edge with your legs in should keep you from overheating.

You can always turn the temperature of the hot tub down so it’s more bath-like then hot tub

My doctor said no to hot tub because of the combo of heat and bacteria. If there's a sauna nearby, you can use that though (assuming you've used them before without any issues).
